dulce de leche.

last saturday, instead of our usual big group gathering, we decided to just have a chill family kind of day. we made caramel by boiling a can of sweetened condensed milk for hours, then ate the warm golden gooey mess drizzled (or spooned) over homestyle vanilla ice cream. (after our lasagna, of course.) the rest of the evening we took fun photos of katy's preggo belly, listened to kelsey's beautiful singing voice, and sat around relaxing. i love that i can go over to their house and sit on their couch and do absolutely nothing, just enjoying being in the same space and doing life together.

they are brother and sisters to me.
