planning.

last weekend i had the pleasure of planning all the food for my roommate jacqui's bridal shower. i love planning appetizers, sweet treats, and parties in general, especially for people i know. (next up: planning a party for my birthday! maybe. this month is looking pretty loco.)

we kept it classy with fruit skewers and a veggie tray, cured meats and fancy cheeses, chips and guacamole, carrot cake and homemade  vanilla ice cream, and mimosas. all of jacqui's favorites!

the turnout was great! we played bridal bingo, where each person created their own bingo board based on gifts they thought she might open, and played as she made her way through the stack. my gift contribution: kitchen gadgets, what else?

it was a delightful afternoon full of showering jacqui with love. (and food and gifts.) the big day is only 2 weeks away!
